Banagher sits on the bank of the river Shannon on the Western edges of County Offaly. There are a range of things to see and do in the area from horse riding to peacful walks along the Shannon and watch the many wildlife species that live in the Shannon Callows.
Banagher also has its own marina, perfect for hiring a pleasure cruiser to Clonmacnoise and other towns located along the river
The Banagher Horse Fair, the oldest horse fair in Ireland, is held every September in Banagher. It brings people from far and wide and is a great day out for the family.
